➣ General Info
Starting March 1st, the fleet will enter synchronous orbit with the planet Bajikan. Bajikan is a interstellar tourist destination that's teeming with aliens of all shapes and sizes and caters to fulfilling the desires of its visitors. If you can't find what you want on Bajikan, you won't be able to find it anywhere.

(Unfortunately for the characters trapped in the fleet, the one thing it doesn't have is a portal home.)

The upside to getting caught in the planet's orbit is that if there's anything that can fix the fleet's malfunctions, it will be down there on the planet somewhere. The Eluvio's crew, already overworked and exhausted from trying to mitigate the disasters of the past few weeks, continue to work around the clock to jury-rig a working communications array in the hopes of contacting help.

On March 2nd, the Eluvio's crew succeeds in making contact with the planet. The good news is that the materials they need to fix the fleet's systems are down there on the planet. The bad news is that they're in the hands of one individual.

Terfezia is the unofficial ruler of the planet. His fingers are in every pot. His money pays for those in obvious authority to hold their positions. His "security personnel" ensure that when he gives an order, people obey. He has the materials the Eluvio's fleet needs.

In response to this news, the following message goes out to the fleet's network:

Characters are free to volunteer for this mission. They are not required to do so and no one will coerce them into it.

➣ Diplomacy Team
For those interested parties, they will speak to Lt. James on the flight deck. He will interview them with questions pertaining to their skills in diplomacy, haggling, maintaining a "poker face," and will ask what they're willing to do to get the ship up and running properly again.

When the interviews are completed, Lt. James will choose four characters for this mission. Once chosen, the team will be responsible for going to the planet, meeting with Terfezia, and acquiring the necessary materials.

How this will be done:
Sign ups for this event are HERE. As with all events, if more characters sign up for the mission, we will be using RNG to choose the team.

You will have until 8:00PM EST on Saturday, March 4th, to sign up for this team. When sign ups close, we will reply to those who were chosen. At that time, we will be asking the chosen team members to decide amongst themselves whether they will be using FORCE or DIPLOMACY to acquire the materials. Please let us know your decision no later than 8:00PM EST on Sunday, March 5th! The answer the team provides will determine which base scenario the team will be provided with.

We are aware that the timing for the sign ups precludes new players from volunteering for the mission. This is deliberate. ICly, the Eluvio crew would not trust this mission to unknown elements, as the lives of all the people in the fleet depend on the mission succeeding. If it fails, the fleet will be stuck orbiting Bajikan. The crew has surreptitiously been monitoring the current roster of passengers over the last few months and has reason to believe that they can be trusted with this. (Please note: The crew monitoring the passengers is not IC knowledge. We are simply providing this OOCly to the playerbase!)

Players will have until Wednesday, March 8th, to plot with one another. On March 8th, the Eluvio crew will contact officials from Bajikan and they will transport the team, and any other characters who want to visit, down to the planet's surface.

This will be done by characters going to the flight deck. A crew member will be using a makeshift communications device to contact the transporter technician on Bajikan and inform him when characters are ready to depart. Transportation is instantaneous. Characters will experience no discomfort during or after transit.

Currently, there is no hard end date for this unscheduled stop! Our aim is early April so players will have roughly a month to enjoy the splendor that Bajikan has to offer. How and when the fleet will leave the planet depends on how the team chooses to act with Terfezia.

➣ What happens in Bajikan...
There is a lot to see and explore once characters make landfall. Once they arrive, they will go through a simple check in process which is just getting them registered in Bajikan's database. This planet might indulge in every desire, but they do like to keep their visiting patrons safe.

Or, safe enough.

During this processing, most characters will receive 6-7 colored tokens. The only rule regarding tokens: CHARACTERS UNDER THE AGE OF 18 WILL NOT RECEIVE RED TOKENS! These tokens are nontransferable and are keyed to each person. Each token is required to enter each of the seven districts on Bajikan. If, after visiting a district, a character decides they won't ever return, they can surrender their token to a guard at the gate or give it back to those in processing. If they surrender their token, they can't get it back!

More information on the planet and the specific details of the seven districts can be found HERE! Please read over everything carefully and fully!

Each district is contained and guarded by a gate that can only be accessed with a matching color token. Remaining in the districts will have an effect on all characters who enter! Breathing the air is what influences characters to act based on the aspect the district claims. If your character enters, the effects of the air will begin! However, once a character leaves, the effects of the district are instantly dropped! Entering the main heptagon, characters will feel refreshed. It will be up to the players if they feel any remorse or any other lasting effects from what may have transpired within the district itself.

On the Eluviopedia page, there are plants listed per district. Characters are allowed to bring some back with them if they so choose! They can be grown on the ship either in the atrium or in a character's bunk. The only ones that will not make it back to the Eluvio are: Christelas and Noxious Twilight.

Because Bajikan is an archipelago, there are dozens of islands to explore! These require no tokens but credits to hire or rent a boat to visit. We highly encourage players to create an island getaway of their own as at a later date, it will be possible to return to Bajikan (this is also not IC knowledge.) We have created a thread HERE with a form should you decide to claim an island for yourself!

At any time characters are free to return to the fleet if they tire of the antics on Bajikan. They simply need to return to the transporter and they will be sent back up to Eluvio's flight deck.

➣ Miscellaneous
Remember to only sign up for the team mission if you intend to participate in all OOC planning and all IC actions. If you sign up and then fail to participate either in the plotting or the playing, you will not be able to participate in the next two mod-created events.

We will be making a separate post to announce the chosen team. Those chosen will then be able to use that post to plot and ask us any questions they might have.

Players whose characters are not chosen for the mission are welcome to have their characters visit Bajikan. Anyone who will be having their character visit the planet and partake in what the districts have to offer can use this post to plot.

We are aware that the age of consent is 16 years in many places and that alien worlds likely have different lifespans, cultures, and ages of consent. Although Eluvio is a sex-friendly game, it is not a sex game. Therefore, only characters 18 years of age and older will be permitted to partake in the lust district.

I just have a question regarding the diplomacy team mission. ICly, Allura would definitely volunteer for such a mission, it would be out of character for her not to volunteer, but OOCly I will be away for the bulk of that mission.

Since I won't be signing up for that reason, would it be fine for me to assume that Allura volunteered, but was denied/not chosen by those organizing the mission?

While I know that Reaper will be 101% uninterested in any sort of diplomatic mission, I still have to ask:

in relation to the bit about flowers/plants on this planet, I've mentioned a number of times that I'm interested in having Reaper start a small flower garden/arrangement in his room for reasons related to his own fucked up biology, so

Would he be able to procure seeds to grow some of these plants back on the ship, or anything like that?

Regarding the plants found in the seven districts, how will the characters know about them? Is there information written somewhere, do they hear about it from the locals...?

Also, regarding the ooc knowledge of the crew monitoring the passengers: will any of them get in trouble for suspecting such a thing? My character is from a world where two rival AIs use mass surveillance to spy on everyone at every time, so she's positive that everyone is being watched aboard the Eluvio, too. I'm assuming it's okay for her to remain suspicious (it would be very ooc of her not to be suspicious) as long as it remains just that: an unconfirmed suspicion. Right?

Yesss excellent. I have another question that I completely forgot about last night, regarding the Fums plants. You guys mentioned that "If consumed it will give characters an hour of time with the person they most want it to be with that is in the game. The caveat is the other person must eat it as well." How would this work, exactly? Character A really wants to be with character B for a while, so A eats the plant. When character B eats the plant, do they have to wish to be with A as well? Or would a one sided wish do the trick? (Also, how does it work, exactly? Are characters magically brought together for those 60 minutes and then return to where they were, or...?)

Awesome. Thanks so much for clearing that up!

Can dogs go down planet?

Can the Fek go down planet?

Yes, so I assumed, but playing a liaison to the species, it seemed important to know what the Fek are able to do or be offered in the context of this planet fall. That said, can we say they claim an island as a memorial and post it as a claimed island using the provided form for the PCs?

Good to know that any inhabitants of the fleet can hit the ground during shore leave scenarios, thank you!

So, about those secrets that can be purchased in Invidia! Do the secrets have to be ones that the in-game character is actually aware of, or can secrets that the character currently does not remember also be bought?

A few questions I haven't seen answered anywhere (but please shove me in the right direction if I've missed it!):

1. Will characters know how each district will affect them before going there? Basically, would they be making an informed decision to go in there or would they be caught unaware by each district's effects?

2. Characters who would sign up for the mission but would only be interested in diplomacy and not taking what they need by force: would they have to see the mission through even if the majority decides to go with the latter, or would they be able to pull out? If yes, would this have any IC/OOC consequences?

3. Shuttles are still not working, correct? Would characters that are stuck on their own ships rather than the Eluvio be able to go down to the planet? If yes, how would this work? Would they be taken to the Eluvio first, and from there to the planet, or directly from their ship to the planet?

Thank you!

Excellent, thank you for clearing that up! On the topic of transportation, one last question: when characters go back to the fleet, will they be returned to the ship they came from or will they all be returned to the Eluvio? And as I ask this, it occurs to me to ask whether characters will be able to go back and forth between the planet and the fleet or if, once they go down to the planet, they will have to stay there until the event reaches its end?

It seems that all of the districts are along the exterior of the main island. Do all of them have beaches?

Regarding Avaritia- is it possible for characters to find items unique to their canons available for sale in it? And if so, what are the limitations on that?

as far as credits/money/the economy is concerned, is the $300,000 credits (from the flower) enough to rent a boat and create an island getaway (as far as buildings, staff, the boat, etc) or will we need to figure out an additional way for the characters to amass money for such a place?

additionally, will there be any issues with trying to create a business on the island? such as accepting payment if one of the eluvians (I don't even know if that is right) tries to create their own island getaway and then charges for people to come stay on it?
