Welcome to the game! We hope you enjoy yourselves here. This meme will go up with every app cycle and it serves two functions.

First, it will allow players to introduce themselves to each other and explain a little bit about the characters they're bringing to the game.

Second, it'll be our CR/Handwaved CR meme. You can discuss how your characters meet, plot things you'd like to do in the future, and whatever else you'd like.

Handwaved introductions aren't mandatory. You're absolutely welcome to thread these things out via logs or network posts if you'd prefer. We are just offering players a chance to skip over the seemingly endless loop of small talk in Intro Hell.

The game will start on December 11! Keep an eye on the OOC community, as we'll be posting information for the start of the game there during the evening of December 10. We will also post the announcement to the game plurk at

I'd LOVE negative CR, either people who just wouldn't get along because of personality or people with opposing philosophies. Positive CR I'd love would be civilian-flavor characters, as he hasn't had, like, any significant interaction with people who aren't soldiers.
Anything Else: I am extremely flexible when it comes to what kind of scenes I'm willing to thread! Obviously death isn't on the table right now since this is a permadeath game, but potential violence is a-ok.

Powers: A high degree of spiritual power, she can see and speak to ghosts! She also has the ability to see the secrets or memories associated with objects (and people!) if she touches them.
Job: Photographer for Lucky Star News

Likes: Exploration, folklore... She's interested in old/antique things and is very curious about everything. She used to like the color red and butterflies, but those kind of bittersweet now. Also she likes her twin. She has a sort of love-hate relationship with the occult and the paranormal.
Dislikes: Ghosts LAUGHS.... She's not fond of her camera obscura, though, and photography has been soured for her thanks to her experiences in the Lost Village so she's not fond of her new job either.
Hangouts: The atrium or any book markets in the shopping center. Sometimes the clothing stores too, but probably most likely the atrium or wandering aimlessly.
CR wanted: Well considering we're all just getting in, any kind of CR is welcome! Mio herself is very distant and rather harsh towards people right now, she can speak bluntly or rudely and is generally v. depressed and just... not all together stable atm. Sometimes little things will set her off and she'll lash out or might start crying/tearing up, because she hasn't properly had time to grieve and deal with everything that's been happening. She's coming off of the canon ending of the game which has her strangling her own much-beloved twin sister in a ritual to break a curse on this village of never-ending night time she's been trapped in for like, a week straight and constantly attacked and all. Fun times!!

So yeah. Help... the trauma is Real. Mostly looking for people who'd be willing to tolerate or see past it and try to help her out/befriend her anyhow.

She's a definite Big Sister type so once she warms up to someone she tends to fuss and worry over them even if she's not-so-subtly judging them too.
Anything Else: Because Mio's ritual was a success, she has the mark to prove it: Namely, a peculiar butterfly-like bruising over her throat that looks like someone's tried to strangle her. I'll make mention of it in her tag, but note that this bruising never goes away and will always appear fresh.

Powers: He's got no powers, but he is a (former) professional ice skater and (current) coach.
Job: LEAD SALES & MARKETING for ICY BALLS SHAVED ICE. He's literally never done this before and his first move is going to be renaming LMASDLKJ he doesn't know how to do this job it'll be fantastic. Or terrible.

Likes: Figure skating. Poodles. Pork cutlet bowls. Food in general. Congenial drinking. Posting to instagram. Please say there's an app like that here, he has Needs. Dressing well. Dressing comfortable. Hot springs baths. Staying in top shape. Stretching? Swimming in pools even in winter? Sightseeing?! Choreography???

Dislikes: Following directions tbh. But no, he's just willful in doing what he wants, it's not an actual dislike. He dislikes...? He shrugs so much off that usually things don't get under his skin, so he'll walk away or disengage or ignore what he doesn't like.

Hangouts: He can be found in the Training Area (why no ice rink, huh guys), the Atrium with Makkachin his standard poodle, or the shopping centre both for trying to pretend he's going to learn how to be in charge of marketing and sales (???) and also getting familiar with and picking up comfort items as time passes. He'll be sampling foods and also a social drinker, so hey, if anyone feels like hitting up the (nicer) bars...! Plus keeping himself and his dog in shape and trying to normalize to being IN SPAAAAAACE and having never signed up for any space program. :|

CR wanted: Everything, which is the worst answer, so let me think of specifics. People who can help him learn to adapt to space travel? Someone to work on Zero-G with him (and possibly help him train Makkachin to handle Zero-G). Aliens! All the aliens... Victor's going to need to learn how to handle people of vastly different species. Or even the same species but with vastly different expectations! I'd love drinking buddies, people to become friends with, people to butt heads with, whatever naturally comes out of CR. He'll be super psyched to meet any ninjas. If we have any. OR ANYONE with a role that could come out of media, because that's novel and interesting if it's not one that's all that normal in a modern Earth context. Anyone who would like to bond with his dog is welcome too, because he loves his dog. Anyone who wants to hear him talk about his fiancé is welcome to hear him tell you about HOW YURI IS GREAT but moreover he's also interested and able to talk about figure skating if that's... something anyone at all cares about. Also anyone who wants to try and help him brainstorm how to do his job, or else, you know, find him a job in anything he can actually do.

He's also very, very civilian, and not an inherently violent person, so there's that as well! Offers a professional athlete.................. in figure skating................... Ax it's a very sensible sport

Powers: Wash is a special operative from a military organization. He's an excellent marksman where guns and knives are concerned. He's an above average hand-to-hand fighter but definitely not the best. He's got a suit of Halo armor that makes him a supersoldier where strength, speed, agility, etc is concerned. Outside of it though, he's a normal guy with an exceptional memory.

CR wanted: I'm open to any and all CR. Wash is a soldier who's been through Some Shit, but he's also a genuinely decent guy who cares too much about people. He's got a temper and doesn't have a lot of patience with idiots. So depending on how the characters mesh I can swing positive or negative CR pretty easily.
Anything Else: Wash is basically a no nonsense soldier on the outside and a crazy cat lady on the inside.

ALSO: i am definitely up for handwaving initial interaction because i hate threading smalltalk lol but i should mention that no matter what victor will probably have a weird first impression of him as even when ax looks human he is very bad at... acting human... basically there's no way to escape an encounter with ax without feeling a little disturbed i'm so sorry

anyway in exchange for ice skating he will probably try to teach victor advanced computing or introduce him to food he already knows
