Characters patrolling the ship or otherwise investigating the murders will discover nothing unusual. Civilian NPCs will have no news to report and their general attitude toward what's currently going on will be concerned and hopeful that things get sorted out quickly. Crew NPCs will have nothing to report and will seem harried and exhausted. They will not stick around to chat and will cite trying to combat the fleet-wide malfunctions as demanding their attention.
