Right, mission, I'd say Maes wouldn't know the first thing about making contact -- at least not so soon from arriving. So to start I'd say he'd be leaning towards the first or last one. Given how friendly and easy to talk to he is, he'd probably be a GREAT pick for the last one now that I think about it a bit more.

I love how you say that and my first thought is "if the right motivation is 'make friends' does it count" BUT GOOD I have a sense from reading his tags how he corrals conversations with others, but specifically -- starting with investigating the crewmen, do you have a general idea of what he'd do/how he'd go about that right now?

Powers: She's not really got any powers, but she is very strong for her height and build, and has a hawk eye for shooting.
Job: Notebook Seller at Curiouser and Curiouser - not exactly something she enjoys but it does give her plenty of time to mull over the ship's mysteries and spooks

Handwaved CR: Absolutely down for this!!
Likes: philosophy, debating, being a general nit-picking pain in the ass, a good wine, black or cold brewed coffee
Dislikes: she can nit-pick about just about anything, really. But her biggest annoyances in canon tend to be when people don't listen to her bossing, sloppiness, and when people tend to want to follow the rules/their orders a little too much.
Hangouts: Cafés abound, probably the Enterprise pretty shortly, the gym, and possibly the skating rink
CR wanted: Anything and everything, if your character can stand Re-L's version of being 'friendly.' If you'd believe it, she's gotten better since the beginning of the series. I'd really, really love to get her in to experiencing new things and etc, though! She's 19 and she's barely done anything or lived, so!!

I'm fairly canon familiar (through the third book at least, I'm kind of behind on...okay everything, but the show specifically). ANYWAY. I am 100% down, however that shakes out. I would love love this, honestly, even if they end up being at each other's throats all the time.

- Playing guitar / singing / writing music and poetry.
- PERFECT FASHION. Flashy, bright clothing.
- His big family, even if they dislike him.
- Flirting. Flirting so much, specifically with fierce girls ...
- You. He probably already likes you. You're beautiful and special just the way you are. Don't ever change.

Dislikes:

- Being ignored, it's worse than being treated negatively.
